Brigid Baptist trained for ten years to become an 'Archivist'. The historians of the villes. She worked long and hard on modifying or out right deleting facts from history so the truth could never be known except by her and fellow archivists, and the barons.

In June of 2197 as she started her work she inserted a disk and discovered it contained a message from a group known as the preservationists. Over the course of a couple of months she had been contacted several more times until finally she was given a disk that contained the Wyeth Codex, information on the Deathlands, Overproject Whisper and the Totalitarian concept. It was part of the journal that Mildred Wyeth kept during her travels across the Deathlands with Ryan Cawdor and company.

She is a very beautiful woman with a shapely, athletic body and long legs. Her eyes are a bright emerald green and her hair is very thick and full, and is a rich reddish, gold in color.

She posses a rare gift (though sometimes she considers it to be a curse). She has an Eidetic memory which she has kept a secret for many years. She tends to act cool and aloof, and is quite the intellectual. But she isn't without passion or compassion. She doesn't allow her emotions to run away with her the way Kane does.

She is able to speak several different languages. Russian, Sioux, and several others.

Despite the fact that there are times she doesn't even like Kane, she is very much aware of the link that they share. One that spans lifetimes. During a jump she saw herself being violated by men and a man with Kane's soul throwing away his life to protect her. The bond they share both scares and confuses her.

She doesn't like to admit to the fact but she knows that it's this bond that she shares with Kane that caused him to throw away everything in order to rescue her from execution in Cobaltville after Salvo set up a trap to prove that she was a preservationist.

Now she lives with Kane, Grant and the rest of the Exiles in Cerberus, helping wage Lakesh's war against the Archon directive and the Barons as well.
