Swampies

As with many of the mutant races, these creatures were the end result of genetic engineering.  Their genetic code was partially melded with that of an ancient creature known as Ocijnic.  These mutants largely appear to have negroid features and are very stocky.

They might have been bred to have been combat troops as they are incredibly tough to kill. This is due to redundant organs that were added during the genegenerring process. The only sure fire way to kill a Swampie is to remove it's head. Shoot one in the heart, and it's auxilliary heart will kick in.  The veins were designed with literal cut off valves,.to prevent blood loss.

Swampies are very tough hombres and due to their hard to kill nature, have received the nick name Zombies. They are typically found only in the Swamplands of Louisiana.

Because of part of their genetic code, they shared a strong bond to the creature known as Ocijnic. They viewed this creature as their master and followed his every whim and command during the short period of time he was back among them.
