Its not a bad film as film go but the book is much better.

The Road was decent.

I loved The Book Of Eli though.

Denzel was super tough and a skilled fighter,as well as Gary Oldman and Ray Stevenson's great acting.

I agree that Book of Eli was a better movie, I think The Road had a more realistic feel to it. The Road painted a bleaker, more direr existence for those that survived. I'd much rather be in Eli's world than in The Road's. Viggo Mortensen did a terrific job by the way.

It didn't make sense to me that the dad was driven by survival instinct and being devestated that his wif'e not wanting to even try to survive that he wouldn't even teach the child how to fight for himself obviously knowing he was dying.

Yes, he was blind the whole time, watch the film again the clues are all there from the outset.

Amazing film but o so depressing!

Book of Eli was good, but I liked the road as well, fucking depressing as hell lol, reminds me of threads (somthing like that).. this movie here:
