    Detroit? Cool! I'd say either Milan or Helfers.

    I have a sneaking suspicion that it is Andy Boot. At the start of "Desolation Road" Andy quotes a line from "Desolation Angels" by Andy Kerouac. Flimsy I know. Please let it be Milan or Helfers, please let it be Milan or Helfers, please....................................

    I've only read Sunchild and the first three chapters of Desolation Crossing but Mr Boot generally hasn't got the greatest reputation with the rest of you guy's so maybe it should be anyone but Boot.... Bikers and a city I've heard off should be a recipe for DL gold.Should be!

    Actually Boot's desolation crossing is good. One of his better ones.

    This book is the first Deathlands to have the author credit listed like all the other GE series have always had.

    This one is by Victor Milan.

    I think its 5% off the cover price and you pay no tax. Unless you are in New York, then you gotta pay tax.

    This is if you get the multiple series package, I'm not sure if it still applies to just ordering DL by itself from GE directly.

    Guess I'll stick to the monthly slog to Walmart. 25% is ideal especially if its a dud and just a collection plug. The cover art on these books make nice fill on my book shelves. LOL

    Finished this one today and I had high hopes for it but it kind off fell flat. It suffered from everyone and anyone having a vast arsenal and apparently endless ammunition. Quite a few typos and Ricky loses his Delisle Rifle at one point only for it to magically reappear as he and the companions are on a mission to get it back.
    Not terrible but not as good as Nemesis etc.

    I found the ending of this one to be a bit rushed like there should have been or could have been another ten pages of story .
    Still I liked the story idea even if there was way too much ammo available to everyone.
    I thought the crops being talked about was great, but I thought that they would play some part in the story.

    I hoped this book would be better than the previous one, I had my hopes dashed quickly.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~SPOILERS~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    So what was good about this book?
    It started in a Mat Trans chamber, just like DL books used to do.
    Scratches head, goes and makes a cup of tea whilst he thinks...
    thats it!
    What was wrong with it?
    Mat trans complex located right next to a sewer, yeah I guess that would be bomb proof !
    The amount of crud that the sewers contained -LOTS!
    The pressure it was under and the speed it filled the complex.
    The gang outside that attacked and immediately shouted "We are really the good guys" despite what you are reading.
    The never ending supply of ammo that everyone appeared to have.
    Overuse of the word "Scavvy"
    really lame plot.
    I started to get bored around page 100 and gave up at some point around 180. I didnt even skip to the end I was so bored.
    Lets hope the next one is better. It must be as its a Chuck book?
    Felt like a "Warriors" rip off. Chucks next one is a certified classic DL.
