I am a relatively new user to these forums and I have a question about spoiler alerts.  Is there any symbol or marking on the forums that represent a spoiler is going to be in a given thread?  I just started getting into the Deathlands series a few weeks ago and have only just about finished the first book, and I am afraid to read most of the topics in the Deathlands forum because I have accidentally come across some spoilers!  Now, I'm not complaining about the forums in any way so I hope it doesn't come off like that, I am just trying to find out if there is a way to avoid reading spoilers other than hovering over the thread title and getting a peak at what might be inside.  I couldn't find anything about this on the new user FAQ or anything, so I apologize if this has been mentioned already or answered somewhere.

    Hi there,

Welcome aboard. As far as I'm aware there is no marker used on posts to show they contain spoilers, however people do (at times) add notes like *SPOILERS* or *CONTAINS SPOILERS* to the title of there posts to make people aware of its content.

Ron, the site owner, may be able to add some such marker into the code ?

It really hasn't been an issue that I have noticed. People tend not to talk about specific details of the books, at least not right when they are first released.

I guess this is a problem for any newcomer to a long running series, I found the same when I joined the Simon Scarrow message board shortly after discovering his books:

    http://www.scarrow.co.uk/

Many people there talked about things that I had not read yet. It was anoying but I learned to put up with it and just came to learn either to stop reading when I found a spoiler or read on and look forward to reading it "in the flesh" so to speak when I got to the book in question.

I know most people won't give away stuff in the books that are just being released, but I was referring to the older books. It's not a huge problem, though. I'll just be a little more careful about what threads I click on because the titles are usually a good indicator most of the time. Thanks for the feedback.
