Just wondering if there is any talk in the near future of bringing the Deathlands series to the Audiobook realm of     I Tunes.. I for one would probably spend waaay to much on those and at least could temporaily fill in the gaps of missing books while I hunted for them around the web and bookstores.

The fine folks at Graphic Audio do audio adaptations of the books. At this point they have done virtually all of the Deathlands titles (I think there are still four titles in the mid-40's they haven't done yet), all of the Outlanders titles, and they just released the first EarthBlood book. Their a

I think - but not positive - that ITunes audio book selection is exclusive to the library of Audible.com.

I don't see Graphic Audio dropping their inventory on Audible.  I sure hope not at any rate.  The amount of compression and reduction of file size would be disastrous to the quality  of sound produced by Graphic Audio. 

Audible works well with single narration because of that reason.  You don't need a lot of data to make a single voice narrative listenable.  As Graphic Audio is packed full of music and high quality sound effects, the file sizes need to be larger and better quality then Audible would provide and by extension, ITunes

The Graphic Audio stuff is available as MP3s, and you can easily pull them right into iTunes without any problem. I am woefully behind on data entry for the Graphic Audio titles, that's on my list of things to do, but you can find links to them on many of the book detail pages here on the site.

I think Dean was talking about purchasing Graphic Audio on ITunes like you can other books.  You can only pull the mp3's from books you have bought.  Downloads come in WMA which is incompatible with ITunes. 

To play the stuff you download, you have to either get a program that strips DRM without duplicating the file, or you have to burn the DRM files into a series of audio cd's. 

I prefer ITunes to any of the mp3 playing programs out there myself which is why I rarely purchase the WMA versions.
