Captures Deathlands

I enjoyed the read. Good amount of retribution for bad guys, great suspense before we got there.

Helfer's Debut DL novel
by Maximus
This is Helfer's debut DL novel and he more than nailed it.

Not only did he quickly show how well he knew the characters, but also their brutal, savage world. Also, bringing back one of Lawrence James' characters, the tall Native American from wayyyyyy back, made this an eye-opener and a major surprise for this reader. This, along with numerous other mentions of past books by the original author, was done with such pizzazz, and it showed the fans in a brilliant way that he has done his homework.

Not like certain other authors who write like they never read the original books to see how the characters act, and just what kind of muties and stuff roam this section of the world. After the half-assed book before this one, this one shined even more brightly as a gem.
