Is there a DL's chatroom?

There used to be on the old, old (ermm is ther another old here) board a long time back. I remember staying up into the wee small hours here in the UK chatting to folk just having there supper on the other side of the pond.

I do miss it somehow...

You have to click on the "Click here to load room" button and have Java enabled but it does still work.

1673 (ior so) is the total number of people who have registered for the site over the past ten years, not the number of people looking at it at any given time.

When Ron gets the chatroom up and runin is there or could there be certin times when us fans can come and chat knowin other fans will be there or is just gona be a walk in and wait?I'm on most weekends late.....but I can be on late weekdays if need be to help this chat work.....

So here's the deal on chat: what i have installed right now is a free chat module and apparently it is not working well for all users. I could install a better one, but that will cost money. I already spend money on this site every month for web hosting and other things, not to mention the money I have spent on various other software upgrades over the years. At the moment I am not prepared to lay out more cash for a better chat room. That being said, if you all want that feature badly enough to make some donations I would be more than happy to take them. The cost of decent chat room software would be about $60. Any takers?

There are over 1600 registered users.

That's the number of people who have registered since the site was created over a decade ago. A full quarter of those are so long gone their email addresses don't exist any more. The vast majority of the rest don't visit very often, if at all. We have at best a few dozen regular users.
