Will a new reader be lost if jumping in series midway 2629 4

I was at the grocery store today and saw an Axler book. The cover caught my eye and so did the description on the back cover. I went on-line to order a sample via kindle and saw that there are over a hundred books in this series. My question is can I basically read these in any order or would I be lost be jumping in mid-way Do the stories connect or are these exclusive Sorry of this is an ignorant question but I'd like to give Axler a shot and wanted to see the best way to start, hopefully jum...

Aside from a few spelling errors(like Jak being printed as Jake, lol.) In Chapter 9 on page 115, Ryan, J.B, and Jak are assisting the Memphis townees in training a sec force capable of combating the Nightcrawlers. However, it says that...
'They were standing on the edge of a fenced-in yard that stretched for over a thousand yards in width and around five thousand in length.'
It further describes this as the parking lot for a pre-War Cineplex.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but that's... 45,00...

This is just a heads-up to let everyone know I runumbered the Deathlands titles. Way back when dinosaurs roamed the earth, I set Encounter as number 0 so that it would come before Pilgrimage to Hell in the list of books. It made sense to me at the time to do it that way. However, as the series approaches book 100 it makes the list appear off by one. Since I know that Gold Eagle intends to commemorate the 100th book in some way, I figured I should re-do the numbering so that it would line up...

anyhow,was moonfeast the latest book ive been reading the deathlands novels for some time now and love them!!! the only bad thing is you cant find all the books on the kindle for blackberry..amazon.com only has a few and ive done read all those,is there another place we can download for kindle thanx guys!!

I need a refresher as I have not read DL in a very long time. In what book did Dean leave the group The last time I read a DL book, Jak was mixed up with some sort of Amazonian women type who kept calling him 'sweets'. If Dean was already gone at this point my memory of the books has gotten much worse. Any help much appreciated.

I enjoy this series I am on about book 25 or so anyway I just had to ask as I have gotten into listen to these books but every few books Ryan and his group make such bad choices or miss the most obvious clues to danger. I know they must miss things in order to fall into danger but some situations are so insulting to both the characters and the listener that I had to express my opinion and ask if this has been noticed by other fans of the series

I just wanted to thank everyone on the board. I had passed on Remember Tomorrow because it was by Andy Boot. Everyone said the book was pretty good and some of the Graphic Audio fans raved about their version. I listen to a lot of these books on the way to work and this Graphic Audio version is great. It got me through a 2 hour traffic jam. J. B. Dix is one of my favorite characters anyway and it looks like Andy Boot may redeem himself. Thanks, gang !

I love the series as a whole and stumbled onto it by accident (good mistake) The first book I read was way up in the 90's volumes, but it did a good job at summoning up each charecter in the group and I've been hooked ever since.Now I have roughly 85 of all the books, and have gone back to 1 and am now at vol 16. When I started there was a preview for vol 74! What But anyway, the preview lead me to believe that the book focuses more on Jack, which I like the idea of. My question is for any...

Book 100 is coming up soon, along with the 25th anniversary of the series. The way the schedule's been going, it looks like 100 will be out next July. Does anyone know if there are plans to make it a special edition like Encounter, maybe reprint some of the earlier books Maybe Dean will make a reappearance...
